HELP 2011 Fiesta Transmission
So about a week ago, I inherited a 2011 Ford Fiesta with 10,000 miles on it. This weekend, I load up the trunk with groceries and when I try to back out of the parking space, it wouldn't go into reverse. I finally got it into reverse, back up and try to put it into drive and nothing happens. Have the car towed into the nearest dealer and it works fine. I see online that others have had "intermittent" transmission problems but no recall since this isn't considered a safety hazard. Now I've been on the phone with the dealership and they say if they can't reproduce the problem there's nothing they can do. I tell them to do a google search and they will find others had the same situation. The NY Times, Consumer Report, Car Mags. But they won't do anything. I'm afraid it will break down and leave me stranded at an unsafe place or inconvenient time. But so far this dealership isn't willing to do anything!

Try different dealers and make sure they give you documentation that the car is fine. Hopefully it was a one time fluke.
By inherited, what do you mean? Maybe you could return it or something?
