Still good to see that the V8 is also an option over there. Wonder if we will see the 2.3 turbo in any other cars here in the US.

This I doubt quite highly, why would they have developed it for North America, and then only sell it in Europe?

That's one rumor I wouldn't put too much stock in so far.

considering this was storied in edmunds, I would tend to go with it.
and lest you forget, ford is now a world platform, was the focus st developed over here? Was it developed for the north american market? No, it was developed for a world market with minimum tweeking needed for different countries.
most likely they will be produced in the US and shipped there since the mustang is a limited production model in europe, why tool a plant in europe for something like that when one exists here. When they say limited in europe, thats exactly what they mean, and not everyone can afford one and the excruciatingly high taxes(4cyl. bad, 8cyl. killer on the wallet).

Given I knew people who were working on this program, I know it was going to be a global program, however they were indicating that the 4 cylinder is definitely coming to North America, so until the model is officially revealed I will say that its still speculation that the 4 cylinder will only go to europe rather than the four cylinder being the only engine available in Europe, but the base or mid level engine over the 3.7L here.

Now they could have told me false information, I'm willing to consider this, however they have typically been right well before the journalists who interpret what they hear at a press conference the way they want to portray them.

They haven't even touched on the Chinese market where this Mustang is also supposed to go, but I suppose that's because they were only at the Geneva Motor Show.
