well, downloaded tune in... so far its done nothing but play commercials and buffer.

hmm, downloaded scanner radio which is free. not a bad scanner app. uses your location and automatically selects all the sites around your area. all volunteer web based.
of course theres not a hell of alot going on here...lol

Mine has never buffered. The only commercials I have heard were because the station was broadcasting them. I have the Scanner911 app on my phone and tablet too. It's pretty cool. I meant to try and listen in Boston yesterday, but never got around to it.

The Amazon free app of the day on Amazon is PDF to speech. It reads PDF Documents to you. It will also do Word Docs.

I also am getting a Galaxy S3. I'm about tired of this Droid X.

It is not advertised here, but the CPU actually has a 5th core that it runs under when it is conserving the battery. The GPU is: ULP High Performance 12-Core NVIDIA® GeForce®.

I want to upgrade because I watch movies on mine and some of the games I have are glitchy on the dual core toshiba. What are your thoughts? I told the wife I want it for fathers day. The kids and I bought her the Asus TF600-C1 for mothers day, it basically has a tegra 3 1.3 ghz, 2gb ddr3 64 gb internal and a 10.1" running windows 8 RT

I have come to realize that Android devices love RAM. This S3 is only a dual core, but it has 2gb of ram. It outran my Acer tablet on the benchmark test.

You've got a samsung GS3 too? The wife and I have had ours since last summer when they first came out. Greatest phone I've ever had! I've even convinced my son to swith to a GS3 from his crapple iphone 3GS. No if i can convince my girls to give up their crapples then I would have an all android house.

I do. It blows my old Motorola Droid X away. I had so many issues with the pre-loaded software on that thing that I'm pretty sure I don't need to own another Motorola phone. My only gripe with the S3 is the keyboard program it came with. It sucks, and it is probably the only thing I liked better on my Moto.

Myself (S3), my Wife (Galaxy Stellar), and one of my Sister's (Samsung ATIV S) are the only Android users - everyone else is attached to the ball and chain of Apple.

You'll probably enjoy this (I may have posted this before.... it's a favorite).
