That would be kool to build a classic with an all new unrusted, un-aged body. My 77 will need some exterior panels, but all the interior panels are in good shape ( floorboards front and back, inner fenderwells, firewall)...

Now that the generation x is getting older, I can see there could possibly be a good market for these reproduction models from the 60-70's.

I wish Ford would have done this:

Not a fan of that concept.

Aluminum wheels-crap
Non-folding mirrors-crap
Independent suspension-crap

The only things it has going for it is the winch, and the removable top.

The thread title is misleading, ford is not repopping them they are from dynacorn, made from Chinese steel. If they do it like they are on the first gen f bodies, the sub assemblies are made in china and shipped to San Fran where the chunks are pieced together to form a complete body shell. Some may not want Chinese steel, but its quality is better than 45+ year old american steel that has been stressed and fatigued and rusted its whole life. Think of it as starting over with virgin steel, not bad for roughly 15 K. Try to find a good rebuildable shell for that price, not to mention all the cash and labor you'll have to put into it to get it pristine again.

It's very rare that concepts goes to market without changes, but the overall retro design I really like.

Give it time, ford will bring back the early bronco. They brought back the look and styling of the original mustang and the tbird. And bronco graveyard offers a complete fiberglass EB tub, doors and tailgate. I thought about doing the the fiberglass tub myself...

Dynacorn was rumored as bringing a Fox Body shell into production. I wish Ford would do it. It would be a fun project.
