Any word on 2014 Fusion?
Rapidly approaching 2014 model year but I cant seem to find a shred of info. Really leaning toward the Fusion Titanium for my daily driver, but hard to justify when the comparable Optima makes more power, gets better fuel economy, and costs less. Hoping the 14 will remedy some of these issues. Anyone have any idea?

The '14 Fusion probably won't be release until the fall and should be a carry over from the '13 model. The Fusion Titanium however offers the AWD version which is not available on the KIA.

Look...if you think the Kia is the better car, go buy it...if you really want the Fusion, go buy it...the minuscule differences in power and economy that you are worrying over won't make a huge difference if you aren't truly in love with the car anyways.
If you are worried that they might have something better just around the corner, then you have a problem, because there is something better coming out next year...and there will be something better the year after that and the next after that...that is a sorry way to live...imho... BTW...how many threads do you plan to start on this subject, anyway? |

As everyone else has mentioned, it will be minor updates (colors/wheels that sorta thing). The higher trims on the Optima have the same fuel economy as the Fusion. If you really want high fuel economy, get the hybrid. But I don't think a few hundred dollars should make a difference. Pick which one makes you happy. That's why I got a Focus, and not a Mazda3, I got a lower price on the Mazda, but it didn't feel right. So I ditched it.

The Fusion just went through a major change for 2013, don't expect any significant changes for a minimum of three years. If sales stay as good as they are for this design, it will be longer. |
